This by far is the best song they have ever done IMHO. I love this song very much and when I blogged the other Sugarfree video, I thought I should put the one I like the most. Makita Kang Muli was written as the original soundtrack for ABS-CBN "Panday".

Kung Ayaw Mo Na Sa Akin is their first single of their third album, "Tala-Arawan". In this album, the group, Sugarfree has a new drummer Kaka Quisumbing who is another talent from Cebu, used to session with other Pinoy rock bands like Kapatid and Itchyworms, before the former recommended to Sugarfree. He replaced Mitch Singson who was with the band for six years.

They are voted for Song of the Year and Best Group Performance as finalist for 2007 Awit Awards.

Some tidbits about the music video. According to the band, when they went to Korea, they were so enamored and fascinatinated with the Korean culture that they actually did not want to leave. They were contemplating on staying for good. So when they decided to do this music video, the idea came from Chito Miranda that they wanted to put all of the Korean cliche's from popular Korean tele-novelas in their video. Very nice concept and funny video as usual.

Rivermaya is not disbanding..

So it appears that the group is not disbanding after all. In fact, the band is actually looking for someone to replace their frontman Rico Blanco. According to their website, "Auditions are being held and if you are 18 and above. Filipino. Male or female. No manager. No record label. Pls register at myrivermaya@gmail.com."

I do hope whoever they find to replace Rico, that they will be as successful and good as before. I am definitely looking forward to this and we'll see how it plays out. I'll post some updates once I hear something.

My First Post

Welcome everyone to my blog. I've been thinking about doing this for quite some time. After playing around with this and checking out what other fellow bloggers have, I finally decided to create one for myself. Essentially, this is just a place where I want to list down all of my favorite Filipino bands or artists. I totally enjoy listening to Filipino music and now I have a place where I can watch their music videos. Kinda like having my own MTV but with music videos.

I will try to post some upcoming concerts and reviews of upcoming new cds as well.
